There are a few lines in Artisan g.3 mousepads: Hien, Hayabusa, Hayate, Shiden, Shidenkai and Raiden, and Zero is a new member which is still being tested. Plus, every Artisan mousepad is purely made in Japan, which I take it as an assurance of quality. (Apologies for my clumsy expressions - English is not my mother tongue)Īrtisan is a professional mousepad manufacturer and researcher. Some say "if you have no idea which pad to get, get QcK!" However, Artisan think that QcK is not good enough for eSports and probably does not deserve its popularity among FPS players, who Artisan thinks can improve their level by using better mousepads. QcK is the entry-level pad of Steelseries. (my QcK mini shows some wears from two months of use.) And here it is, my beta tester Artisan ZERO XSoft M. The campaign basically requires us to buy the pre-production Zero from their web shop at a discounted price, and to post a review after testing it for Artisan to improve their products. I immediately signed up for it for the want of testing something new before everyone. It obviously wont be anywhere near as fast as a Talent and I'm totally okay with that. Some day in September, I read from Artisan's Facebook page about the "HIENKAI" monitoring campaign!! that they are making a new mousepad that is similar to QcK in feel but has better performance and quality. ![]() So basically, what is the fastest pad that has the closest stopping power to a QCK Heavy with none of that hover feel. HardPads/Puretrak Talent definitely have a "hover feel". But I don't want the mouse to have a "hover feel" that it doesn't stop when you want it to stop. To repeat myself again, I want to have the speed to track/flick at people consistently and not be dragged down by slow speed. Or another way of saying it is I want something as fast as a Goliath Speed but not as fast as Puretrak Talent or Hardpad type fast, but has stopping power closet to a QCK Heavy. I want a pad that has stopping power of a QCK Heavy, but isn't as slow as a QCK Heavy. Non direct quote he says "most pads are either too slow or too fast and I wanted something in between them" (Someone attempting to "dodge")Įssentially its something similar to Get_Rights current most likely bull**** post about the new mousepad he designed with Xtrfy. Long distance aiming also tends to glide too much during consistent small movement. Slow small glides lack stopping power and tend to wiggle out of my precision more than QCK Heavy. Tracking is more consistent and allows easier slowing and speeding up of a long glide. Flicks are much more consistent and don't get stopped with different pressure. (If somebody is running across your screen and you are trying to keep your mouse on his head is an example.) (Because of overall slower speed, flicks very often end up too slow) Slow on flicks, when combined with good stopping power, usually ends up with me underaiming semi often. (Small movements go where you want and stop when you want them to stop.) Good grip/stopping power, allows for good long range aim and spray control. Here are my complaints to better understand. I go back and forth between QCK Heavy and Razer Goliath Speed. I'm assuming it might be an Artisan of some sort?
